Larry Chimerine, Ph.D.

Dr. Lawrence Chimerine is president of Radnor International Consulting Inc. and partner of the investment committee of Miller Investment Management. He is the former chairman, chief executive, and chief economist of Chase Econometrics and The WEFA Group.
For more than 25 years as an economic consultant, Chimerine has advised Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions and government agencies on the state of U.S. and world economics and the impact of economic conditions on decision making, budgeting, and strategic planning. He previously served as manager of U.S. economic research and forecasting for the IBM Corporation for 14 years, and as managing director and chief economist at the Economic Strategy Institute (ESI) in Washington, D.C.
Chimerine has earned a reputation as a leader in the economic arena. He has served on numerous corporate boards and governmental advisory boards, has testified on key economic issues before Congressional committees, and has held teaching positions at three universities. He is the author of several books and numerous articles and is frequently interviewed by the national media.

Dr. Tun Wai is vice president of research and chief economist for the National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU). Wai joined NAFCU in 1987 and is responsible for most of the research data and statistics used in NAFCU lobbying efforts in Washington, D.C.
He has created many products and services for NAFCU member credit unions, including individualized peer analysis reports, the net worth calculator, daily rates, Flash Reports and Data Flash releases. Wai serves as staff liaison to the NAFCU share insurance, liquidity and development fund oversight committee and is a founding member of the Credit Union Economics Group (CUEG).
Wai holds a bachelor of science/bachelor of arts degree in management and a doctoral degree in economics from Georgetown University, as well as a master of business administration degree in finance from New York University.

As president of Tim Lerew & Associates, Tim Lerew devotes himself to educating credit unions. His knowledge of technology and the credit union industry, combined with an articulate, high-energy presentation style, has made him a popular speaker at credit union events for more than a dozen years.
Lerew has served on the management team of West One Federal Credit Union and as marketing director of CTEL Financial, a securities and investment credit union service organization. He has also served as a director of the Bay Area Credit Union Co-operative Marketing Association.
Lerew previously has held management positions with Ultradata Corporation, PeopleSoft and Edify Corporation. He has a bachelor of arts degree from the University of the Pacific and a master of science degree in international business from St. Mary’s College of California, as well as a Series 7 securities license.

Charles Idol has been involved in the credit union movement since 1975, serving as a credit union director and providing credit unions and their professional associations with consulting, research, and educational services in the areas of asset/liability management (ALM) and investments.
His publications on credit union ALM/investment issues and equity duration applications have appeared in Credit Union Executive and Credit Union Management, and he has conducted seminars for Credit Union National Association, Credit Union Executives Society, National Credit Union Association, and more than 30 credit union leagues.
Dr. Idol has served as senior vice president/chief economist of the Texas Credit Union League and chief economist of Southwest Corporate Federal Credit Union.

As CEO of the Filene Research Institute, Mark Meyer inspires people to understand the opportunities for cooperative finance to transform communities and lives. His combination of passion and critical thinking show through in his research on innovation, consumer behavior, and the financial needs of young adults.
An internationally recognized credit union expert, Meyer has lectured to audiences across North America, Asia and Europe. His research and opinions appear in dozens of national publications, including The Wall Street Journal. He has contributed to National Public Radio and advised the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
Meyer is also an attorney. Formerly of the firm of Montgomery, Little & McGrew, he is licensed to practice law in Colorado and Arizona. He has also held executive posts with Arizona State Credit Union and the CUNA Mutual Group.
Steven Rick

Steve Rick is the senior economist for CUNA & Affiliates’ economics & statistics department and will interpret economic conditions from a credit union perspective. Rick has been with Credit Union National Association since 1992. In addition to conducting economic research, he teaches and lectures at credit union schools and conferences nationally and internationally. He has also authored numerous articles for CUNA publications.
Rick has a bachelor of arts degree in economics and a bachelor of science degree in finance from Moorhead State University, as well as a master of science degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin. Rick also lectures at the University of Wisconsin, where he is a candidate for a doctoral degree in economics.
Marci Rossell

Marci Rossell most recently served as Chief Economist for CNBC. Prior to her career in broadcast journalism, Marci served as Corporate Economist and Investment Spokesperson for OppenheimerFunds, one of the nation's largest mutual fund companies. Marci began her career as an economist with the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. She has a Ph.D. in Economics from Southern Methodist University.
