WHAT IS REMOTE DEPOSIT?

Remote Deposit is a high-tech method of processing checks that a credit union takes in for deposit. Southwest Corporate's Remote Deposit offers a suite of options for processing those checks. Branch capture, teller capture, ATM capture, and business capture connect your credit union to efficiency.

A small scanner captures item images - either at the credit union, ATM, or your member's business - and transmits those images to a central processing facility. Depending on your credit union's specific configuration, the images are either transmitted directly from each location to Southwest Corporate or through a consolidated communication point defined with your credit union's network. All encoding/data entry and batch level balancing is performed by Southwest Corporate staff.

Branch Capture – capture images of deposited items at the branch and send to central processing facility
Teller Capture – capture images of deposited items at each teller station, interface with your credit union’s core system, and send to central processing facility
Business Capture – capture images of payment items at member’s business and send to central processing facility
And, in the near future:
ATM Capture – capture images of deposited items at the ATM machine and send to central processing facility
Shared Branch Capture – capture images of deposited items at locations in the shared branching network and send to central processing facility.
